LONGXIN: Where AI Meets Laser Cutting to Shape the Next Era of Intelligent Manufacturing | Dark Horse & Frontier Innovator

How can a single laser tube cutter pack over a million cutting processes into an AI-driven brain—so operators can get technical support instantly, with just one click? And how does a Chinese company break through the high technical barriers of the laser cutting industry, rising from follower to industry leader? In the past decade, Guangdong Longxin Laser Co., Ltd. (“LONGXIN”) has demonstrated how smart technology and relentless innovation can transform laser manufacturing.

On October 20th, 2025, the official release of “LONGXIN SmartCut”—an AI-empowered smart manufacturing solution—ushered in a new era for LONGXIN. SmartCut turns complicated laser-cutting tasks into an easy Q&A experience. It cuts after-sales response time from 2 hours down to only 38 seconds, greatly lowering the skill threshold and making laser cutting more convenient for everyone.

This is not just a technical upgrade—it marks a pivotal step toward making laser cutting more accessible and truly intelligent. With this breakthrough, LONGXIN is poised to strengthen its leadership in market share and order quantity in the 3D laser tube-cutting sector, further solidifying its status as a Hidden Champion in South China.

The Growth Code: From Technology Follower to AI Front-Runner

In LONGXIN’s production testing area, Technical Director Ji Changbin stands beside a 5th-generation K9 high-speed laser tube cutter. He taps the screen and gives a command:

“How to cut a 45-degree angle on a square tube?”

Within seconds, the SmartCut system responds with a clear, step-by-step guide.“In the past, it took about a week to train a skilled operator. Now, even a regular worker can learn and start working as they go,” he explains.

Behind this achievement lies more than a decade of deep focus and relentless technological advancement. Since its founding in 2008, LONGXIN has dedicated itself to the laser cutting segment—and the results speak for themselves. LONGXIN has earned multiple national recognitions over the years. In 2023, it was recognized as a Leading Enterprise in Its Industry Segment. In 2024, it became a National Specialized and Innovative “Little Giant”. By 2025, it advanced further to become a National Key Little Giant Enterprise. LONGXIN has successfully transformed from an industry follower into a standard-setter.

The flagship product — K9 5th-Gen High-Speed Laser Tube Cutter — is a strong testament to LONGXIN’s technological capability. With an acceleration of 2.3g, it outperforms the global industry average by more than 20%, making it a true performance benchmark in industrial laser processing.

Beyond technical specifications, LONGXIN also focuses on solving real customer pain points in its R&D process. Take the medical device industry as an example: cleanliness requirements are extremely high, yet traditional cutting often results in slag residue. The K9 addresses this with a slag-free cutting system, achieving a truly clean, dust-free cutting process.

The company’s technological breakthroughs stem from a long-held commitment to “testing first, mass production second.” According to Ji, LONGXIN invests over 10% of its annual revenue into R&D and has introduced the IPD (Integrated Product Development) system to shorten development cycles. Backed by Foshan’s technical commissioners—Yao Wei and He ChunyanLONGXIN has formed robust industry–university collaborations with top institutions, including Guangdong University of Technology and South China University of Technology. One example is the High-Precision Laser Processing Joint Laboratory built with GDUT. There, the team spent several months tackling the stability challenges of ultra-high-speed cutting. Their work ultimately led to 100% independent development of three core components: the precision chuck, the intelligent control system, and the five-axis cutting head. Multiple achievements from this collaboration have been certified as “Internationally Advanced.”

LONGXIN SmartCut takes this technological foundation to a new level. In March 2025, to drive AI adoption in the laser-cutting industry, LONGXIN began working with leading institutions such as Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen) and Tsinghua University. By analyzing more than 10,000 customer cases and large volumes of operational data, the team distilled common patterns and best practices—eventually developing a standardized AI solution that covers machine operation, cutting processes, and equipment maintenance.

To survive industry cycles, you can’t rely on a single breakthrough—you need a full system-level moat,” Ji emphasized. Today, LONGXIN has already filed three AI-related patents, and that “moat” is steadily growing wider.

Smart Manufacturing for the Future: Global Expansion Fuels New Productivity Growth

Standing at a new starting point, LONGXIN’s vision now extends far beyond individual machines—toward the intelligent reconstruction of entire production processes and a strategic expansion into global markets.

With the launch of SmartCut, LONGXIN is accelerating the adoption of AI across the laser-cutting industry. “We’re adding more value without raising the price,” Ji noted. All newly purchased machines now come with SmartCut at no extra cost, and the system is being rolled out to existing customers as well. This not only strengthens customer loyalty but also helps lower the overall skill threshold of the industry.

According to Ji, the new technology makes laser cutting dramatically easier, reduces the need for extensive operator training, and significantly lowers the barrier to using laser tube-cutting equipment.

The new technology is also giving LONGXIN a strong boost in its global expansion. The company has now established service centers in Vietnam, Turkey, Brazil, South Korea, and other key markets, aiming to raise overseas revenue from the current 30% to 50% of total sales. With the powerful remote support of SmartCut, on-site service needs abroad have been greatly reduced—an advantage that aligns especially well with the growing demand for “Lights-Out Manufacturing

Looking ahead, LONGXIN sees an even larger space for industry-wide transformation. According to Ji, laser cutting holds clear advantages over traditional methods such as punching, plasma cutting, and flame cutting—representing a domestic market potential of at least 35 million units. By keeping pace with the next wave of technological upgrades, LONGXIN is committed to becoming a world-class manufacturer of intelligent laser-cutting equipment—empowering customers to achieve greater success.

LONGXIN will continue to refine its algorithms to further improve cutting-path accuracy and material utilization. The company is also upgrading equipment structures and building a cloud-based service platform that integrates data on energy consumption, production progress, and more. These efforts lay the foundation for truly smart factories and accelerate the industry’s shift from “low-labor automation” to fully “unmanned” production.

As new productive forces surge, LONGXIN is using AI and laser technology to build a global blueprint for South-China-led smart manufacturing, pushing the industry into a new age of intelligence.
